This massively sized and easy to clean bin is a part of the Dolphin MaxSeries, and is one of my favorite robot filters I have tested, thanks to its ease of use and cleaning performance. So let’s dive in to the problem and how it was solved.

Gen-2 MaxBin vs. Gen-1 Filters

First Generation Dolphin robots have 2 separate filters that when disassembled will create 6 separate parts. To clean the robot, you’re disassemblign and then reassembling those 6 parts. There’s no way around it. It’s not particularly hard to do, but it does take some time. The Dolphin filtration system was dramatically improved on Gen 2 robots with MaxBin.

If you’re looking for MaxBin, they are included with the following robots, each with a different price point:

If you’re thinking MaxBin is just slightly larger than gen 1 filters, you’re in for a suprirse. Dolphin Engineers made MaxBin a whopping 50-225% larger than the gen 1 standard cartridge filters. There are two major advantage.

One, the cleaning process is now a breeze. There is now 0 disassembly required to clean the filters. With a clever dropdown on the basket, it’s one click design reduces cleaning to just rinse and repeat Everyone that goes from Gen 1 to Gen 2 raves about how easy it is to clean.

Easy to Clean

But just how easy is this filter to clean? Super easy. Unlike the cartridges, you don’t have to disassemble the filter to clean it. Simply, unlatch the robot and the handle pops right up on the maxBin. Simply grab the handle, take it out, rinse it, and slide it back in.

The Dolphin Quantum has the XXL MaxBin, which is the largest capacity of the bunch with over 400 square inches of storage capacity, it is Dolphin’s largest filtration system ever.

With included Nanofilters, Quantum cleans deeper than the standard filters found on gen 1 robots. Nanofiltration captures what the standard filters miss and makes a huge difference iwhen it comes to clearing cloudy pool water. It delivers a level of water clarity and polish you won’t find with standard filters.

Dolphin Cayman and Dolphin Escape
