We tested every Beatbot robotic pool cleaner in our test pool — from the $1,300 AquaSense 2 to the $3,000 AquaSense 2 Ultra. These are some of the most expensive cordless pool robots on the market. After weeks of hands-on testing, here's whether the premium price tag is justified.
Beatbot markets itself as a premium, AI-powered pool robot brand — and the price tags definitely reflect that. But here's the thing: in our testing, corded robots costing way less actually cleaned better. The AquaSense 2 Ultra goes for around $3,000, and when we tested it head-to-head against corded Dolphins at a fraction of the price, it couldn't keep up in our experience. In our testing, every Beatbot had the same cordless trade-offs: shorter run times, weaker suction, and constant recharging instead of using a set-it-and-forget-it weekly timer like the Dolphin Premier.

After weeks of hands-on use, here are the trade-offs we found with Beatbot's cordless lineup:
The AquaSense 2 Ultra costs nearly $3,000 and in our testing, it still couldn't outclean corded robots at a fraction of the price. The AI features sound impressive on paper, but from what we've seen, they don't translate to a noticeably better clean.
Every Beatbot is cordless, which in our testing meant weaker suction and a 2-3 hour battery life before you're stuck waiting for a recharge. Corded robots run as long as needed and you just set the weekly timer and forget about it.
When we tested them side by side, Dolphin's NanoFiltration system captured way finer particles than anything Beatbot offered. Depending on your pool's debris, this could be a big deal.
No weekly smart timer on any Beatbot — so you're physically placing the robot in the pool every single time. Most corded robots just handle this automatically on a schedule.
For the price of a Beatbot, here's what you should consider:

Read Guide →In our opinion, no. In our testing, it couldn't outclean corded robots in the $500-$800 range on the stuff that actually matters — floors, walls, and filtration. The AI features are cool on paper, but in our experience they didn't make it clean any better.
In our testing, Dolphin came out ahead of Beatbot in suction power, filtration, and overall cleaning every time we tested them side by side. Dolphins are also cheaper and come with weekly smart timers — a huge convenience feature Beatbot doesn't offer.
Beatbot invests heavily in AI navigation and surface-skimming tech — and honestly, that stuff is cool. But in our testing, it didn't translate to better floor and wall cleaning. You're paying a premium for features that sound great but don't move the needle where it counts.
In our testing, the Dolphin Premier outperformed every Beatbot we tested and costs significantly less. It's our #1 pick. Check out our full best robotic pool cleaners guide for more options.
