What kind of videos do you make?
We make hands-on robotic pool cleaner reviews, head-to-head comparisons, unboxings, how-to guides, and maintenance tips. Every video features the product being tested in our pool.
Are your videos sponsored?
We're an independent channel. We buy most products ourselves and always disclose when a brand sends us something. Our opinions are never influenced by brands — if a product is bad, we say so.
How often do you upload?
We aim for new content weekly during pool season, with reviews and comparisons rolling out as we finish testing. Subscribe to get notified when new videos drop.
Can I request a product review?
Absolutely! Drop a comment on any video or reach out on social media. We prioritize the products our audience wants to see.
Do you have written reviews too?
Yes — every robotic pool cleaner we review on YouTube also gets a detailed written review on our site with specs, photos, pros/cons, and our final verdict.
What's your most popular video?
Our Top 5 Robotic Pool Cleaners video has been watched hundreds of thousands of times. It covers our overall best picks after years of testing.
Independent, Hands-On Reviews
Why Pool Owners Trust The Pool Nerd
We're not a big media company. We're a small, independent team that gets in the water and tests the products we cover.
Tested in Our Pool
Every robot, pump, and skimmer runs through repeated cycles in our test pool with dirt, leaves, algae, and other everyday debris—not a lab or demo tank.
Side-by-Side Comparisons
We don't review products in isolation. We test them head-to-head so you can see exactly how they stack up against the competition.
5+ Years of Experience
We've been testing pool products since 2020 — through every season, firmware update, and product launch. That depth of experience means we know what holds up and what doesn't.
Our Testing Process
We run each product through multiple cleaning cycles in our test pool — floors, walls, waterlines, and filtration all get evaluated.
Products go up against their direct competitors so you can see the performance differences, not just marketing specs.
We publish what we find — good and bad. If a $500 robot beats a $2,000 one, we'll tell you.
